The Importance of Hot Tub Heaters

Hot tub heaters are critical to your hot tub¡¯s overall efficiency and longevity, and not only is it important to have the proper hot tub heaters at all times and replace them when necessary, but as well you need to actually understand about hot tub heaters, about what they do and how they work.

What are They?

Hot tub heaters are used to heat up the tub, and typically hot tubs come with heaters that are adjustable, meaning that you can make the water cooler or warmer, depending on your own personal preference.

Common Problems

There are a few problems that are quite common with these heaters, and for instance low heat is more often than not caused by a reduced water flow, and so you want to check the filter if this happens, to see if it is clogged, and as well to make sure that there are no other obstructions restricting water flow in general.

In order to test your hot tub heating elements for integrity, you want to use an ohm meter on its lowest setting, and using the meter¡¯s test leads, you want to measure the resistance between the two terminals. A reading which is too low typically indicates that you have a bad unit, while a very high reading indicates an open circuit or limited conductivity.

You always want to be careful when you are installing new heater elements, and you should never bend, push, or twist the electrical terminal, because this could lead to a fracture of the epoxy seal and result in leading to water infusion.

Where to Buy

When it comes to finding hot tub heaters, there are a few different companies that are worthwhile to take note of. One in particular is Beachcomber Hot Tubs, a company that offers a superior range of hot tubs as well as an extensive selection of hot tub options and accessories, in order to ensure that you get whatever you need.

In particular they offer a variety of heaters for your hot tub, available in different sizes, styles and colors. You will have to take into consideration the model of hot tub you have however, as with some hot tub models only certain heaters will work.

Another company that you can go to for a hot tub heater is The Hot Tub Store, which is a company that carries the world¡¯s best selling brand of spas and hot tubs in the world, as well as a broad range of accessories to go along with them. They also feature a team of highly qualified and experienced customer service representatives, who are more than happy to help you find the perfect heater for your hot tub.
